We have two companies looking for a certified mechanic.
The first position is full time and starts immediately. Requires experience in hydraulics, electrical/plc, troubleshooting and motor work. Certified Mechanics work in industrial settings where they install, repair and maintain hydraulic equipment and machinery. They ensure hydraulic systems function properly in recommended environments. Must be knowledgeable in overall plant systems and the interactions of processes. They install and service a variety of systems including safety and security, energy delivery (hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical), communication, and process control systems. 2-3 years of experience. Resume required. Day shift: 8am-5pm M-F Overtime available. Pay rate: $15.00 & up D.O.E. Location: Jerome
The second position is temporary for now with the potential to become full time. Willing to train someone who is interested in buying their own tools bit by bit while working. Resume required. Day shift: 8am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday Pay rate: $12-$14 & $18 hour Location: Eden
JOB PURPOSE: Maintains and repairs diesel truck and trailers, RV’s, Buses & Equipment.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Diagnose, test, adjust, and repair systems of heavy duty diesel powered public transit vehicles. Examines, test drives and troubleshoots electrical and mechanical problems using standard testing procedures and computer diagnostic equipment. Performs repairs and replaces defective parts. Performs routine and scheduled maintenance services according to manufacturer’s specifications. Maintains inventory and restocks parts. Respond to road calls. Maintains records of repairs and preventative maintenance. May perform other general garage duties as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to troubleshoot and repair problems of general and advanced nature. Ability to perform tasks requiring heavy physical effort occasionally in inclement weather. Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, methods, and practices of engine repair, mechanical and electrical systems and maintenance. Ability to work in safe and efficient manner.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school diploma or GED. Experience: Three years’ experience preferred, willing to train right person, in diesel engine or bus repair with ability to complete manufacturer’s training programs on various bus systems. Certifications/Licenses: Valid Driver’s License. These are Safety Sensitive positions as defined by the Federal Transit Administration and are therefore subject to all current and future Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting, standing, walking, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, sifting /carrying up to 50 lbs. multiple times per shift
WORKING CONDITIONS: 50/50 Indoor and outdoor work. All weather conditions.
